The Papers in Northern & Maritime Security is an occasional paper series which brings together expert opinion from across academia, the defence community, and government to examine current and future safety, security, and defence issues in the Canadian circumpolar and maritime regions. Published by the Mulroney Institute of Government at St. Francis Xavier University, with the generous support  of a number of government and institutional partners, this series aims to inform and enrich academic discussions and government policy making, while enhancing our collective understanding of the crucial Northern and maritime security issues facing Canada and the world today.

New occasional papers will be published regularly and submissions are accepted from students, academics, and professionals undertaking research in these critical areas, or with direct experience in Northern and Maritime operations.
